Matt Shukin

Born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, Matt Shukin has been performing since a young age around the Chicago-land area. Influenced early on by the sounds of rock n' roll music, Shukin started to develop an ear. He played in metal bands & recorded avant-garde art rock in high school, proceeded to front the band Pleasure Horse after graduating, and several years later joined with local garage soul group Black Bolts on guitar.  After expanding by playing many different genres over the years, including hard rock, thrash metal, punk, blues, jazz, soul, folk and country, he found his own unique sound. With a versatile array of original material and cover songs, he provides not only a quality sound, but an energetic and engaging live experience. Shukin is currently fronting the band Shukin and the Ramblers, performing with The Black & Blue Hearts for the Spectral Silhouette Radio Show, as well as performing solo acoustic and collaborating with many other artists live and in the studio.
